Last fall I decided to subscribe to Everyday Food and I love it. Every month is full of recipes that typically call for in-season veggies and fruits. Score because you’ll usually find them on sale  saving  you some beans! My sister and her boyfriend spent Christmas with us this year meaning we had a nice spread of food over the entire weekend! In the December 2011 issue there was recipe for Bacon Wrapped Ginger Shrimp ! Who doesn’t like bacon?! So of course I had to give it a try and they were Delicious!!! I need to have a party just so I can make them again without feeling guilty because I ate them all. (sadly I didn’t take a picture, so I’m using a stock photo)

 Ingredients

    13 bacon slices
    1 pound large shrimp, peeled
    2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons finely grated peeled fresh
ginger
    1 teaspoon packed light-brown sugar

Directions
Preheat oven to 475 degrees, with rack in
upper third. Cut bacon slices in half crosswise and wrap each piece around a
large shrimp; secure with a toothpick. In a large bowl, whisk together soy
sauce, ginger, and sugar. Add bacon-wrapped shrimp to soy sauce mixture and
toss to coat. Arrange in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake 10
minutes. Turn on broiler and broil until bacon is sizzling and crisp at edges
and shrimp are cooked through, 2 to 3 minutes. Serve warm or at room
temperature.

What dish with bacon would you recommend trying?
