I’m not going to lie, I was at a loss for a blog post today and then it hit me. I remembered that Jovana from Taste of August & Mackenzie Field from Field Notes nominated me for a Liebster Blog Award and since I already participated here, then put a twist on it here, I thought why not put yet another twist on it. So thank you Lauren, from Wayfarers and Worksheets, for posting your A-Z yesterday — because I’m going to be a copycat

B. Best friends? These girls — since college.

C. Cake or pie? Depends — I love a a good homemade german chocolate cake
or strawberry rhubarb pie with ice cream

D. Day of choice? Saturday, it’s always a good time.

E. Essential item? I never leave home without water, sunscreen
or chapstick.

F. Favorite color? I have a few…
purple, green or turquoise

G. Gummy bears or worms? Sour worms

H. Home town? Carlsbad, CA

I. Favorite indulgence? Milkshakes

J. January or July? July!

K. Kids? If I can count Roxy — 1

L. Life isn’t complete without? Love
or laughter

M. Marriage date? August 19, 2012 – We’re coming up on our 1
year!

N. Number of brothers/sisters? One of each

O. Oranges or apples? Apples

P. Phobias? Hmmmm…probably that I’m
going to hit a deer or run into a mountain lion.

Five Things

Over the last few month’s I’ve noticed various Five Things posts around the blogosphere {like here} and since I was nominated ~~a second time~~ for a Liebster Blogger Award by Casey from True Colours {a few months ago} I thought it was long over due for a post about me. Here goes nothing!

Five Things

1. I was born with a heart defect and had two heart surgeries by the time I was five. To this day doctors are still shocked when I tell them and add how active I am. Hey, I know my limits.

2. The travel bug set in at a very young age. I was 14 the first time I traveled across the pond. For 21 days I traveled through Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany and England. Since then, to-date I’ve explored 15+ countries.

3. I’ve lived in California my entire life minus the six month stint I spent in Pensacola, FL (I followed a boy and well it wasn’t the Hubby).

4. I graduated college in three years….and wish I stayed the extra year.

5. Moving to Tahoe was the best decision I made six and a half years ago. There’s something about Tahoe that makes me feel free. Plus I met the hubby in Tahoe!

6.5 years ago on top of Mount Tallac! — My first summer in Tahoe, Summer 2007 — yup that’s the mr!

Maybe it was this sunset, summer of 2007, that sold me.
