										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Sorry, I went M.IA. for a few days &#8212; I pulled a muscle. Not kidding, I managed to pull my pectoral muscle. I was push pressing 105lbs! Yay, but no upper body movements for the next few weeks. Anyway, I&#8217;ll just sit here, drink my green smoothie and shop. Because shopping makes everything better. Right? I figured why not share some of my favorite workout gear. Gear for actually working out, not lounging around the house or running out for coffee.</p>
<p>New gear always inspires me to hit the gym a little harder. Feel unmotivated to workout? Maybe a new pair of leggings, tank or shoes will do the trick. Yup, I&#8217;m talking to all the woman who said they wanted to get in shape this year. I personally only workout in tank tops. Yup, I have a hard time in shirts, but that&#8217;s just me. Lately I&#8217;ve been loving my UA and TNF tanks! During winter months I switch it up between full length leggings and capris. When summer rolls around it&#8217;s either capris or shorts. Honestly, I could wear them everyday. Typically you&#8217;ll find me wearing them walking the dog or at Crossfit. <a href="http://www.rei.com/product/893393/the-north-face-dynamix-legging-womens-2015-closeout" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">These</a> TNF capris are currently my favorite compression tights! The length is perfect, hitting about mid shin. Oh, and they&#8217;re currently on super sale at <a href="http://www.rei.com/product/893393/the-north-face-dynamix-legging-womens-2015-closeout" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">REI.</a></p>
<p><span style="color: purple;"><b>SHOES</b></span><br />
Today, I&#8217;m a Nike girl. I finally bought myself a new pair of shoes for Christmas and I can&#8217;t stop wearing them. Currently I&#8217;m rocking the <a href="http://api.shopstyle.com/action/apiVisitRetailer?id=487773038&amp;pid=uid4225-26975935-83" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Nike &#8216;Free 5.0&#8217; Running Shoe</a>&nbsp;[$110]! Shopping tip: Try and find a Nike Outlet. I purchased mine for $50!</p>
<p><b style="color: purple;">SPORTS BRAS</b><br />
The only brand I&#8217;m currently wearing is Moving Comfort! You can purchase a sport bra based off your cup size! Start with <a href="http://api.shopstyle.com/action/apiVisitRetailer?id=484446601&amp;pid=uid4225-26975935-83" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">this</a>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<a href="http://api.shopstyle.com/action/apiVisitRetailer?id=484446599&amp;pid=uid4225-26975935-83" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">this</a> one. I&#8217;ve heard great things about the VS sports bras, but haven&#8217;t tested them yet. Any thoughts?<br />

It definitely covers all my needs with two large cargo pockets, one zip pocket, and a drawstring pouch. These features make it easy to carry my daily <a href="http://icecreamandfrenchfries.blogspot.com/2014/10/whats-in-my-gym-bag_16.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">gym essentials</a> plus a yoga mat! This bag is perfect from yoga, to spin, to Crossfit.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m back after taking a little breaky, break last week. Oh, it felt good to relax and soak in the fresh mountain air.</p>
<p>Did you know the number one resolution among Americans is health &amp; fitness related? Yup, that&#8217;s right we all want to be healthy and fit. For some of us it&#8217;s about achieving new fitness goals while for&nbsp; others it&#8217;s simply losing a few pounds.</p>
<p>What&#8217;s your resolution for 2015? Personally, mine is getting my body back after baby and my word for 2015 is balance. It&#8217;s the one thing I will really need to work on this year considering we&#8217;re adding another person to the pack.</p>
<p>Well, if you&#8217;re looking for ways to kick start your journey to a healthier lifestyle or need a little motivation to stay on track here&#8217;s a little light morning reading for you.</p>
<p><b>ONE.</b><br />
Detox &#8211; I&#8217;m not talking about a juice cleanse. I&#8217;m talking about cutting out the crap and eating real food. Try the <a href="http://21daysugardetox.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">21 Day Sugar Detox</a> <i>(21DSD)</i> or <a href="http://whole30.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Whole30</a>. They&#8217;re both about eating real foods and cutting out all the processed junk. It&#8217;s the perfect way to kick start the year and retrain the way you think about food. The Hubby and I completed <a href="http://icecreamandfrenchfries.blogspot.com/2014/01/my-whole30-experience.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">our first Whole30</a> last January and just started our second today. Yes, while I&#8217;m pregnant! Good Luck.</p>

<b>TWO.</b><br />
Hire a trainer or try something new like spin, crossfit or yoga. If you&#8217;re not mixing up your workouts you&#8217;re going to become board or might even hit a plateau. Your body will love you! Almost two years ago I joined a <a href="http://icecreamandfrenchfries.blogspot.com/2014/03/90-day-challenge-one-year-later.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">90 day challenge</a> at my gym and it changed everything. I was in a runt and working out with a trainer help reignite my inner athlete. Last April looking to challenge myself I joined crossfit. Ultimately you need to figure out what will continue to motivate you over time.</p>

On the weekends or after work during the summer <i>(It&#8217;s too dark and cold during the winter)</i> I like to enjoy the great outdoors &#8212; whether it&#8217;s hiking, mountain biking, or snowboarding. </p>

It&#8217;s Monday which means we have another five days until the weekend, but who&#8217;s counting. Raise your hand if you&#8217;re loving the longer days? I&#8217;m looking forward to enjoying the sunshine after work. It&#8217;s actually raining/snowing in Tahoe today, but a girl can dream of summer evenings at the beach, walking the dog or just relaxing on the patio with a cold beer.</p>

We spent the weekend relaxing, kitchen planning and getting a head start on the big yard spring clean up. The hubs even worked in a little ice fishing.</p>
<p>Now for a few March goals.</p>
<p>1. More <b>kitchen planning</b>. Maybe even starting to purchase appliances or other finishing. We actually wont demo the kitchen until August. I have a big event in July and living through a remodel at the same time is not an option.</p>
<p>2. <b>Blog smarter</b>.&nbsp; I have so much I want to blog about, but sometimes at the end of the day the last thing I want to do is be on the computer. I&#8217;m also thinking about changing the name of my blog and switching over to wordpress. Thoughts?</p>
<p>3. <b>Yoga</b>. It&#8217;s been years and it&#8217;s time to start practicing again. Yoga just helps me center myself.</p>
<p>4. <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/tiarawasner/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><b>Pinterest</b></a>. Stop pinning and start doing. Like most of us I pin my little heart away. It&#8217;s time to start testing out a recipe or craft now and then.</p>
<p>5.<b> Spring cleaning</b>. My house is typically clean, but it&#8217;s time for the annual deep clean that we all dread. All tips are welcome.</p>

There&#8217;s something refreshing about the new year. In a weird way everyone gets a fresh start. I&#8217;ve never been one to make resolutions, partly because I can&#8217;t keep them and well I just simply forget. This year I thought I would try something new.&nbsp;</div>

I&#8217;m a true believer in letting things happen, but I&#8217;m also a planner.<br />
This year my goal is to try and <b>live in the moment</b>. I&#8217;m usually so worried about what&#8217;s going to happen next. It&#8217;s time to step back and breathe it all in. </div>

The planner side of me decided to set five monthly goals that are mildly attainable. So here goes nothing&#8230;.</div>

<span style="font-size: small;"><u><b>January Goals</b></u></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
1. Complete <a href="http://whole9life.com/2013/08/the-whole30-program/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><b>Whole 30</b></a>&nbsp; &#8212; <i>Eat real food – meat, seafood, eggs, tons of vegetables, some fruit, and plenty of good fats from fruits, oils, nuts and seeds for 30 days.</i> This means no sweets or alcohol. I&#8217;m on day three.&nbsp; </div>

2. <b>Hydrate</b>: I work out a ton and I&#8217;m so bad about this. My goal is to drink at least 64 oz of water a day.</div>

3. <b>Clean out my closet</b>: I&#8217;ve probably been talking about this for the last year, well it&#8217;s time!</div>

4. <b>Read a book</b>: This sounds so simple, but seriously it&#8217;s been at least four months since I finished a book.</div>

5. <b>Kitchen Planning</b>: This will be a bit on going, but it&#8217;s time to seriously think beyond just removing the wall. </div>
