\nIf the title didn’t give it away, I went Apple Pickin’ this weekend!<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\nA few girlfriends and I headed down the hill to Apple Hill<\/a>
\n Saturday for some of the tastiest apples around. Oh there was a pumpkin
\n patch, beer at the brewery, fresh pie & apple cider donuts involved too. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n
<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n

\nThe first farm we went to was a u pick. The owner told us where to find certain apples then let us hunt down some of the best looking apples!<\/span><\/span> <\/div>\n

\n<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\nAt $1 a pound we couldn’t go wrong. Each of us plan on making a little something different with our apples.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n
<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n I’m not sure the name of the first place, but our second stop was at Bill’s Apples & Felices Dolls<\/a>. Here we enjoyed a nice stroll of the grounds and sampled delicious apples!<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\n<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\nOur third stop was at O’halloran’s Apple Trail Ranch.<\/a> We grabbed a wagon and a headed out to the patch and yes we each left with two medium pumpkins for $4 each! I even picked up some Indian<\/span> corn for a little DIY project.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n
\n
<\/a><\/div>\n
\n We worked up an appetite pickin apples and pumpkins so we headed to Bohaine Apple Ranch for lunch. They’re known for their pies, but I must say I had the best apple sausage ever and I’m not really a meat eater.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
After Lunch<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
\n  After a tasty lunch it was time to head to the Jack Russell Brewery<\/a>. The three of us split the beer flight (12 samples) and I<\/span> must say there were only 3 I liked: Pumpkin Ale, Raspberry Ale and the Pale Ale.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n Before heading back to Tahoe it was our mission to pick up a dozen (or two) Apple Cider donuts. Good t<\/span>hing Rainbow Orchards <\/a>was our next stop.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nOh …. here’s me and my big green tractor. <\/span><\/div>\n
\n
<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n What a great way to spend<\/span> the day with the girls. We even made it home in time for the LSU game. Apple Hill is about an hour from South Lake Tahoe located in the Sierra foothills.  Can you guess<\/span> the recipe I’m sharing tomorrow? Hint: there’s apples in it.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
