{"id":3018,"date":"2013-01-08T13:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-01-08T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ahappyhealthyhome.com\/2013\/01\/utah-powder-day-christmas-village-indie\/"},"modified":"2019-11-13T07:58:54","modified_gmt":"2019-11-13T15:58:54","slug":"utah-powder-day-christmas-village-indie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ahappyhealthyhome.com\/2013\/01\/utah-powder-day-christmas-village-indie.html","title":{"rendered":"Utah :: Powder day, Christmas Village &amp; Indie Theater"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: center;\">If you&#8217;re just tuning in the Mr and I road tripped it to Colorado for Christmas and made a pit stop on the way home in Utah for a powder day with a good friend. &nbsp;It was a 36 hour whirlwind.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">The Thursday after Christmas we said our goodbyes to family and made our way across Wyoming to&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ogdencity.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Odgen, UT<\/a>&nbsp;located right outside of Salt Lake City.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">We rolled into town a bit late, but enjoyed dinner at <a href=\"http:\/\/roostersbrewingco.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Roosters Brewing Co.<\/a> and strolled through the Christmas village on Historic 25th street before heading to Matt&#8217;s casa for some wine and more good conversation.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-WvELS7hb34Q\/UOuNak1FIrI\/AAAAAAAAG6U\/cvE6jpq4Oqs\/s1600\/blogger-image--2058732357.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-WvELS7hb34Q\/UOuNak1FIrI\/AAAAAAAAG6U\/cvE6jpq4Oqs\/s1600\/blogger-image--2058732357.jpg\" style=\"cursor: move;\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">The snow gods gifted us with even more snow the next morning! It&#8217;s true what they say about Utah snow&#8230; light and fluffy. You better believe we were happy campers. A short 20 minute drive. The day was spent riding deep powder in the trees. Oh and unlike Tahoe we had fresh tracks ALL day! I wish we could have spent more time exploring downtown Odgen. It&#8217;s lined with cute shops and <strike>probably<\/strike> tasty restaurants.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">Saturday we were up early and on our way back to Tahoe.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><i>Psst&#8230;Miss the other road trip posts? Lucky us we have an amazing neighbor who took care of the driveway while we were away.
