\nLet’s just stay after looking at all our honeymoon photos I’m ready for another vacation \ud83d\ude42  <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nI decided to break up the honeymoon posts, today’s will be a brief overview of our week long stay in Mexico! <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nOriginally we were planning to honeymoon in South America, but with a job promotion (the Mr.) and major projects (me) we decided we needed some time relaxing beach side. Since we both love Mexico and were interested in seeing the Mayan ruins it was a unanimous decision to visit the Yucatan Peninsula which lead us to the Playa Del Carmen area.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nI quickly called RCI<\/a> and booked a room at The Grand Mayan – Riviera Maya<\/a> and off we went.<\/div>\n
\n
\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\nThis is what paradise looks like (from the hotel beach)<\/i>!<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n We spent some time poolside, at the swim up bar….. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n and lounging in our cabana.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThere may have been one or two fresh Pina Coladas \ud83d\ude42 <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/a> <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nWe enjoyed a show.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n
\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n
\n Took a little trip to see some Mayan ruins – Chichen Itza<\/a> to be exact.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nVisited the oldest Church in the Yucatan.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n
\n  <\/div>\n
\nBrowsed local shops and stocked up on vanilla. Yes, vanilla. In my book it’s a must when in Mexico!<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe sun might not set over the beach there, but we still experienced some breathe taking sunsets.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nMost of all we relaxed, unplugged and enjoyed each others company! <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nIt was so nice to getaway and much needed. The resort was massive and warrants a post of it’s own just like our excursion to Chichen Itza<\/a> don’t worry I’ll be back with more honeymoon details very soon  \ud83d\ude42<\/div>\n
