<\/em>Clearly I’m craving all things Fall. Monday I chatted about our trip to Apple Hill<\/a> and today I’m sharing how I’m enjoying some of our apples. Although, I love a crisp apple as is sometimes you just have to spruce them up. Enter Walmart<\/a>, during a recent shopping trip I couldn’t pass by the ‘holiday bake center<\/a>‘ without a few items jumping in my cart. It amazes me how treats always make their way into my cart [HAHA] I guess there’s just something in the air at Walmart<\/a> or maybe it’s because everything is so affordable! [i.e., Baker’s Semi-Sweet Bar $1.98, Baker’s Coconut flake $1.94, and Caramel Bites $3.13]<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/a><\/div>\n

\nAnyway, I’m sharing a balanced sweet snack or breakfast – Apple Cookies [apples, nut butter, nuts, chocolate, caramel and coconut flakes]. Can you say YUM!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Yeah, yeah — I could make fudge [which I will, don’t worry], <\/span><\/span>gourmet caramel apples [we’ll see] and a variety of other sweet treats, but it’s only October and there will be plenty of treats over the next three months. Taking requests now.<\/span><\/span>

\n1 medium apple [I like granny smith or pink ladies]<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n2 tablespoons nut butter [ My go-to is almond butter]<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\nNuts [Pecans or Walnuts]<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\nCoconut flakes [<\/span>Preferably<\/span> Baker’s<\/a>]<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\nChocolate chips [white or semi-sweet; I like to use Baker’s<\/a>]<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\nCaramel [For Drizzling – optional]<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n
<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\nDirections<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\nIf you have a apple corer this is the <\/span><\/span>prefect<\/span> time to bring it out. If not, you’ll want to slice your apple into thin rings. Don’t forget to remove the core.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\nNext, spread your nut butter of <\/span><\/span>choice <\/span>over one side of the ring.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
