\nTahoe is an outdoor enthusiast’s playground from skiing, mountain biking, hiking, SUP, etc. You name it, it’s probably here. I’m lucky to call it home. With endless trails, my husband and I are not the only ones who like to get out and explore. Our seven year old German Shorthaired Pointer Roxy loves to hit the trails, too.<\/div>\n

\nWhen you’re hiking with a dog there are a few things you need to think about. You’re not just packing  for yourself.
\n
<\/b>
\nWhat to bring when hiking with dogs:<\/b>
\n+ Pack plenty of food and water [plus, a little extra]
\n+ Bring a collapsable water bowl
\n+ Poop bag — [Pick up your dog poop!]
\n+ A extra leash.
\n+ First aid kit<\/p>\n

Before you leave the house:<\/b>
\n+ Check you dogs paw pads before hitting the trial.
\n+ Be aware of the weather.
\n+ Know your dogs hiking ability and don’t push it.
\n+ Make sure your dogs I.D. and shots are up to date.<\/p>\n

\nRoxy keeps us active, but we keep her in tip top shape. This includes lots of walks\/hikes, cuddles, fetch, and GOOD food.
