Yup, Friday was the last workout of the 2017 CrossFit open. Boy am I glad it&#8217;s over. While I had some great weeks and not so great weeks I saw a huge improvement from 2016 and I can&#8217;t wait to get to work.&nbsp;I&#8217;m coming for you 2018!<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<table align=\"center\" cellpadding=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" class=\"tr-caption-container\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ahappyhealthyhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_1334-768x1024.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/ahappyhealthyhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_1334-768x1024.jpg\" width=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"tr-caption\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/rstyle.me\/n\/cdx2umbk8qf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Leggings<\/a> \/ <a href=\"http:\/\/rstyle.me\/n\/cdx2xebk8qf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Tank<\/a> \/ <a href=\"http:\/\/rstyle.me\/n\/cc62uwbk8qf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Shoes<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>\n<b>THE WORKOUT<\/b><br \/>\n10 Rounds for time (40 minute time Cap)<br \/>\n9 Thursters at 65 lbs<br \/>\n35 Double Unders<\/p>\n<p><b>INITIAL THOUGHTS<\/b><br \/>\nEveryone knew thrusters and double under were coming. So I wasn&#8217;t surprised. For me personally I was a tad worried about my double unders because some days are better than others. I knew this one was going to hurt.<\/p>\n<p><b>PERFORMANCE<\/b><br \/>\nMy game plan was pretty straight forward break up the thrusters into 3&#8217;s from the beginning and pray to the jump rope gods. My thrusters felt great and I never struggled. The issue for me was transitioning from thrusters to double unders. I managed to do sets of 10, 15 or 20 at a time, but it still wasn&#8217;t fast enough. I finished in 23:18. Not bad.<\/p>\n<p><b>FINAL THOUGHTS<\/b><br \/>\nI kind of liked this WOD. Maybe it&#8217;s because my thursters actually felt better than they have in a long time.
