\nFall in Lake Tahoe is my favorite time of year. It’s the best time to hike, bike and enjoy everything Tahoe has to offer. Like having the entire breakfast joint to yourself on a Sunday morning! Yes, think 70 degree days and barely any crowds. If you can handle the cold mornings then it might be time to plan a trip.<\/p>\n

Here’s what you should pack:<\/b><\/p>\n

All the Layers <\/b>– I’m not going to lie the mornings have been cold. I’m talking 30 degrees cold. If you plan on heading out during the morning or evening hours I suggest bringing a micro puffy<\/a> or pullover sweater like the prAna Cate Tunic<\/a> or my A+F sweater (pictured).<\/p>\n

Athleisure\/workout clothes <\/b>– Basically my entire wardrobe. Lake Tahoe is an outdoorsy community making it totally expectable to wear athleisure 90% of the time. I mean I totally rocked my new prAna Roxanne Printed Legging<\/a> to breakfast the other morning. Speaking of prAna they totally have you covered in this department.<\/p>\n

Running\/hikking shoes<\/b> – If you plan on doing any amount of hiking or walking you’ll want a good pair of shoes. Some of my favorite trails to hike during fall months include: Hope Valley, Mount Tallac, Maggies Peak, and Van Sickle Bi State Park.<\/p>\n

Backpack <\/b>– You’ll want something to carry water and snacks while hiking.<\/p>\n

Non<\/b>–Athleisure attire <\/b>– You know for going out to dinner, etc. Throw on the prAna Ariel Dress<\/a> with black leggings, boots and a jean jacket and you’ll fit right in. If it’s warm enough cute booties and a jean jacket will do.  I’m also loving the prAna  Cadwell<\/a> sweater dress. It’s calling my name!<\/p>\n

When it comes to packing for vacation there are always a few things I keep in mind — comfortable, functional, and fashionable items. Oh, and wrinkle free. Because mama doesn’t want to have to iron.
