\nCan someone tell me where January went because I blinked and it was gone!  Emerson actually turned 3 on Monday and her party is this weekend. I should mention I’m so not prepared as in I’ll be making her birthday cake, cookies or cupcakes Friday night… yup, still haven’t decided. Mom of the year over here. Most days I feel like I’m barely holding it together, but I got this. She’s three so balloons, friends and chocolate will do the trick \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

So NorCal Masters… Yup, what a weekend. I’m still processing it and seriously can’t wait for the CrossFit open to start at the end of February. But until then let’s talk about what I’m currently loving.<\/p>\n

BEST DEALS OF THE WEEK<\/b>
\nBecause you can’t ever have enough workout clothes. NIKE is having a sale on top of a sale! Basically, they are giving you an extra 25% all sales items – no code necessary. Top picks include sports bras (1<\/a>\/2<\/a>), shoes<\/a>, and pants<\/a>. FYI, sale ends 2\/1. Oh, and these Adidas<\/a> … a few colors are only $59!<\/p>\n

BEST MEAL OF THE WEEK<\/b>
\nHomemade waffles! Well actually, homemade using Kodiak Pancake & Waffle mix<\/a> – because it’s easy. But last week I bought a waffle maker<\/a> at Target and I’ve been loving making waffles in the morning. Yup, traded in the VANS frozen waffles for homemade. Combos include a plain waffle topped with a fried egg and avocado or topped with fruit and honey! So good and filling.<\/p>\n

LIFE SIMPLIFIED <\/b>
\nNo, I’m not talking about the book<\/a>, but I’ve heard great things about it. I’m just talking about spending with intention and a minimalist lifestyle. The last few nights I went through various cabinets in my house. As in I pulled everything out and created a keep, giveaway\/donate and throw away piles. Man, it felt good. I actually threw away magazines I haven’t looked at for YEARS, boxed up baby sheets, towels, etc. and cleaned out all the toiletries we don’t use. You know all those samples, freebies or gifts! Boy, it feels good to open up the hall closet to less clutter and things we’ll actually use. Next up, Emerson’s closest, the guest room\/office and our bedroom! Personally, we’re not big fans of stuff so it’s easy to declutter. Our housecleaner made out yesterday. I always ask friends and family if they want something before donating or tossing. When was the last time you cleaned out and organized your hall closet, junk drawer, etc?<\/p>\n
