The key is making it fun! I workout and eat healthily, but it doesn&#8217;t stop with me. It&#8217;s a family affair.<\/p>\n<p>By creating these habits now I hope I&#8217;m setting my daughter up for a life without chronic illness, disease, etc. I also hope that Nick and I will live a long happy life. I mean no one ever says they want to be sick. I look at exercise and making better foods choices as preventative care. I&#8217;m looking at the long game just like I do with my finances (more on that another time).<\/p>\n<p>So how do we live that fit family life?<\/p>\n<p><b>We run\/walk together.<\/b><br \/>\nEmerson likes to show me how to &#8220;run&#8221; or race. While these &#8220;runs&#8221; are usually at a run\/walk pace I&#8217;m ok with it.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/ahappyhealthyhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_6309-1024x1024.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"1048\" data-original-width=\"1048\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/ahappyhealthyhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_6309-1024x1024.jpg\" width=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>\n<b>We bike together.<\/b><br \/>\nSoon enough Emerson will be peddling along the side of us. Emerson has been hiking since she was born. We love getting exercise well exploring the great outdoors.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/ahappyhealthyhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0145-768x1024.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"1600\" data-original-width=\"1200\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/ahappyhealthyhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0145-768x1024.jpg\" width=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>\n<b>We workout on Vacation.<\/b><br \/>\nJust because we&#8217;re on vacation doesn&#8217;t mean we can&#8217;t get a little sweat in poolside.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/ahappyhealthyhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_3693-1024x768.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"1200\" data-original-width=\"1600\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/ahappyhealthyhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_3693-1024x768.jpg\" width=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\n<b>We talk about going to the GYM and being big and strong.<\/b><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\nYesterday, Emerson said, &#8220;I need to go to mommy&#8217;s gym to do exercises and get big and strong.&#8221; I&#8217;m not kidding.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\nAnyway, do you see a theme? We like to get outside to make it fun for Emerson.
